Common electro-mechanical RF switch terminology...
Normally Open RF Switch: With no power applied, the common port is not connected to any of the output ports. (N.O. is often used as an abbreviation for Nomally Open)
Failsafe RF Switch: With no power applied, the common port is connected to one of the output ports.
Reflective RF Switch: Switch ports are high impedance (open) when ports are turned off.
Absorptive RF Switch: Switch ports are 75 Ohm when turned off (for 75 Ohm models).
Self-terminating RF Switch: Switch ports are 75 Ohm when turned off (for 75 Ohm models).
