    The models listed below are models that JFW has designed and manufactured for customers in the CATV and satellite communications industries. As cable operators have expanded to offer high speed data (per DOCSIS) over their hybrid fiber coaxial network (HFC) and telecommunications companies have expanded to offer internet television (IPTV), the line between cable operator and telecom company has blurred. Different approaches to offering high speed data and television services has created a need for 75 Ohm RF products that work higher in frequency in order to test products for all of these different communication standards.     The below models are some models that JFW has designed for LTE applications. LTE (Long Term Evolution) is a trademark of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). The LTE defined operating bands cover 698-2690MHz. The 5th generation of wireless mobile systems is being actively researched around the world by a multitude of companies.  Its high data rates will enable it to be much more than just the next generation of mobile networks.  It appears that 5G deployment will include frequency bands from sub-1 GHz to 6 GHz for mobile coverage and up to 50 GHz for the highest point to point transmission speeds.

    The below models were designed by JFW specifically for Wi-Fi testing applications.  As Wi-Fi has expanded above 6 GHz we have added models that operate up to 8 GHz.  Wi-Fi is a trademark that was created by the Wi-Fi Alliance to help market products that meet the IEEE 802.11b standard. The IEEE 802.11 standards define the protocols for wireless local area network (WLAN) communication.
