Terminations and Mismatch Loads

JFW offers 50 Ohm and 75 Ohm coaxial terminations and mismatches with power ratings up to 1000 Watts CW.  We have broken up the online termination and mismatch models into four sortable tables:

A termination is a 1-port device with a coaxial RF connector.  The term RF dummy load and RF termination are interchangeable.  The purpose of a RF termination is to terminate a port with properly matched impedance to prevent RF power from being reflected back to the source.

Mismatch Loads

A mismatch load is also a 1-port device with a coaxial RF connector but is used to test devices under mismatched load conditions.  The mismatch VSWR value is built into each JFW model number.  For example, JFW model #50T-032-5.0 N M is a  5.0:1 mismatch (referenced to 50 Ohms) with a 50 Ohm N male connector.  If you have any questions about mismatches, please email our engineering department.
